Ingress is an augmented reality game played using Android and iOS devices with mobile data and GPS. The game creates an overlay of real-world maps showing the hidden world of Ingress, where portals are everywhere and the battle for the future of humanity is happening all around you, everywhere you go.
Join us for a short session on game lore and mechanics, and then be ready to pick a side and go out with experienced Agents (as players are called) to learn the game. Ingress requires walking in the real world, so attendees are urged to have some walking shoes for this event. The game also uses mobile data, GPS, and a lot of screen-on time on your mobile device, so a back-up battery and/or charging cable may come in handy!
Required Equipment: A mobile device with Android 4.0+ or iOS 7.0+
